GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Grand Forks Police Department wants you to know about a level III or high-risk sex offender that has moved to town.
Travis Lee Robinson, 27, was recently released from the James River Correctional Center and will be living at the Northlands Rescue Mission at 420 Division Ave. in Grand Forks.
Robinson was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 2006 and is under supervision by the North Dakota Department of Corrections.
He was convicted of raping a 10 to 13-year-old girl over the course of three years.
During the investigation, child pornography was found on a computer used by Robinson and his roommate.
He later had his probation revoked. He was assigned a high-risk level and has a lifetime registration requirement in the state.
As of December 6, there were 86 sex offenders in Grand Forks. Of those 86, 8 a high-risk. The rest are moderate to low risk, or have not been assigned a level.
