Officers Lose Sight of Suspect's Vehicle in Early-morning High-speed Hubbard County Chase

(WDAZ-TV) - Officers weren't able to stop a suspect's vehicle after the driver fled from an attempted traffic stop in Hubbard County.

(WDAZ-TV) - Officers weren't able to stop a suspect's vehicle after the driver fled from an attempted traffic stop in Hubbard County.

According to Hubbard County Sheriff's Office chief deputy Scott Parks, a Park Rapids officer tried to stop the vehicle near the Park Rapids High School shortly before 2 a.m. on December 3.

The driver wouldn't stop, and fled. Officers from Park Rapids, Hubbard County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol pursued the vehicle into Becker County, reaching speeds near 100 mph.

Officers stopped the pursuit after they lost sight of the vehicle.

Law enforcement officials are following up on leads and the investigation into the driver’s identity will continue.
