GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Two Grand Forks-area women have been arrested in a rash of home burglaries in rural Grand Forks County.
Forty-three-year-old Cheryl Hart of Grand Forks and 21-year-old Sarah Grandboise of East Grand Forks, Minn., are accused of stealing cash, jewelry, electronics and other items from four homes in Manvel, Emerado and Thompson.
The sheriff's department says Hart allegedly sold some items to area pawn shops and at one point aroused suspicion when she cashed in $600 in coins at a Grand Forks supermarket. Authorities say a homeowner in Thompson who witnessed a break-in later picked Hart out of a picture lineup.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that Hart faces burglary and drug charges. Grandboise is charged with theft. Working telephone numbers could not immediately be found for either woman.
