GF City Council Approves New Wards

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Grand Forks City Council approved a new ward map on Monday night, but delayed a decision on voting precincts and polling sites.
Council members want to hear from you about where polling sites should be.
Some discussed ways to reduce the number of sites to cut costs.
Terry Bjerke, who would like to see voting consolidated to one site, such as the Alerus Center.
Other council members think a drastic change to polling sites could confuse voters or make it inconvenient.
The council plans to take up the issue again at its meeting December 19.
