MOORHEAD – The Discovery Channel has let Moorhead Public Service know that an episode of the show “Dirty Jobs” featuring Moorhead’s water treatment plant is tentatively set for its initial airing on Jan. 3.

A “Dirty Jobs” crew was in Moorhead in April to film footage of MPS employees doing maintenance work on the plant’s water-softening basin.

The basin is a catch-all for the muck that forms when minerals are removed from Moorhead’s drinking water.

At the time, the show’s host, Mike Rowe, told MPS Water Division Manager Troy Hall that the job was one of the dirtiest the program had covered in a long time.
