GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Mayor Michael Brown says he supports Governor Jack Dalrymple in the 2012 race for the governor's seat.

Dalrymple was elected lieutenant governor in 2008 and became governor when John Hoeven was elected to the US Senate last year.

Brown says Dalrymple has a good grasp on the issues facing cities all over North Dakota, and he'd like to see him have a full term.

"He has served the state of North Dakota for 25 years. He has been active in the issues that have been important to us as the state and he is well informed and I'm glad to have him in a leadership position," Brown said.

The mayors of Fargo, Bismarck and seven other cities have announced their support for Dalrymple.
