EAST GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Some less fortunate kids will be smiling on Christmas morning.

The Salvation Army has teamed up with Cabela's for a two day toy drive called, "Operation Christmas Morning."

More than 700 kids, infants to teenagers, are in need of gifts this holiday season.

In addition to toys, meals will also be provided for families in Grand Forks.

All families will receive a turkey as well as ingredients to have a sit-down Christmas meal.

"It makes them happy that someone cares for them, someone loves them and this year we've had roughly 720 kids that have applied, 427 households that need christmas assistance," said Lindy Beauchamp, from The Salvation Army.

Salvation Army employees say they're in need of gifts for people of all ages, but especially teens, sometimes they're overlooked.
