Grand Forks Man Charged After Two-vehicle Crash

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A driver was arrested and five people were taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after a crash on 32nd Avenue South and Interstate 29 at 7 a.m. Tuesday
Robert Shane Mahlum, 28, of Grand Forks and his female passenger were traveling south on Interstate 29 and took the off-ramp to exit onto 32nd Avenue South.
Mahlum's vehicle struck a second vehicle traveling west on 32nd avenue south.
Mahlum was extricated from his vehicle. The second vehicle had three people inside. Everyone was transported to Altru with non life-threatening injuries.
Mahlum was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment.
The intersection of the west ramp to 32nd Avenue South from Interstate 29 was closed for about three hours.
