BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has added nine new troopers to help patrol the booming oil patch in the western part of the state.
A dozen troopers graduated from a 25-week program on Thursday. Nine of the new troopers will be patrolling western North Dakota.
The patrol says four troopers are slated to be added to western North Dakota in July, bringing the total number of troopers in the area to 69.
