It's the third robbery charge for a Grand Forks man who authorities say is being investigated for a string of 8 robberies in our area.
So far, Kyle Pederson has been charged with the robberies at the Fairfield Inn, the East Grand Forks Orton's and now, the Aasen Drug in Mayville.
The Traill County Sheriff's Department says Pederson walked into the store last Monday, went to the pharmacy and demanded oxycontin...a powerful pain killer.
Traill County Sheriff, Mike Crocker says the Pederson got away with more than 200 pills and about 300 dollars.
Pederson was arrested a week ago by Grand Forks police after going to the Budget Inn Express to hide out.
He was originally only charged with the Fairfield Inn robbery, but that same day was charged in Polk county with the Orton's heist.
He has not been charged with the five other robberies in our area this month, in which authorities say a masked man walked into the businesses, showed a gun and demanded money.
During his first court appearance last week, State's Attorney Peter Welte said Pederson has implicated himself in the other robberies.
And Pederson himself even said he was sorry for what he did and that he never meant to hurt anyone.
Pederson is being held at the Grand Forks County Jail without bond.
He will be back in court in February.
