GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Nearly all Grand Forks businesses checked for alcohol compliance passed the inspection, according to police.
The checks were conducted on Friday, December 30. 26 of 27 businesses passed, with a 96% compliance rate.
Failing the check was Ozark Spirits, an off-sale liquor store located in Walmart.
The testing is done on a regular basis throughout Grand Forks, with any business holding a liquor license subject to testing.
An underage person, with law enforcement officers attempts to buy alcohol. If the underage person is served, the server is cited and the business notified. A business that's charged is subject to sanctions by the licensing authority.
