Grand Forks Man Accused of Stealing Jewelry From Foster Parents

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks man is accused of stealing more than $28,000 in jewelry from his foster parents.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks man is accused of stealing more than $28,000 in jewelry from his foster parents.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that 25-year-old James Daniel Rustad is charged with felony theft of property.

Authorities say Tony and Alana Rustad reported to Grand Forks police that someone had entered their home and stolen several pieces of jewelry.

Police say the most of the jewelry was recovered at two Grand Forks pawn shops.

James Rustad also is facing charges of fleeing police and reckless driving. He is slated to be arraigned on March 7.
