Early-morning GF Trailer Home Fire Causes $40,000 in Damage

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - An early Monday morning fire at a Grand Forks trailer home caused extensive heat and smoke damage, the Grand Forks Fire Department reported.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - An early Monday morning fire at a Grand Forks trailer home caused extensive heat and smoke damage, the Grand Forks Fire Department reported.

At 12:17 a.m., firefighters responded to the trailer home at 5339 Circle Dr. N. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the trailer.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished, but the trailer was heavily damaged.

No one was home at the time and no one was injured.

Damage is estimated at $40,000 for the structure and contents. The cause is still under investigation.

The Grand Forks Fire Department reminds all residents to check smoke detectors and replace batteries every six months.

Assisting firefighters at the scene were Altru Ambulance personnel and the Grand Forks Police Department.
