The East Grand Forks City Council is ready to move forward with a full renovation of the city's outdoor swimming pool.
A committee of council members is recommending a $1.56 million improvement plan for the pool.
The plan is to borrow the money from the city-owned Water and Light Department, which would equal about $170,000 each year for ten years in debt service.
There will be a few repairs done now for the pool to open this summer. And the plan is to start major construction mid-August and have everything complete by the June of 2013.
The council will vote to approve the plan at its next meeting on February 7th.
