UND One Step Closer To Building New Information Technology Center

UND is one step closer to building a new Information Technology Center on campus. The project between the North Dakota University System and UND would provide I-T needs to the system's 11 campuses.

UND is one step closer to building a new Information Technology Center on campus.

The project between the North Dakota University System and UND would provide I-T needs to the system's 11 campuses.

The legislature approved the project... which is expected to cost about 15-point-5 million dollars.

That will allow for a 36-thousand-square-foot office building and data center.

"It takes care of some problems we've had in the past either with the data center or the offices. Right now the IT dept's whether they're the university system or UND, we have several locations throughout the campus," North Dakota University Sytem Assistant to CIO Rich Lehn said.

Both buildings are expected to be finished by August of 2013.
