DEVILS LAKE (WDAZ-TV) - A Devils Lake supermarket helps fill the plates of the less fortunate in the Lake Region.

Wally's Supermarket donated $20,000 worth of food and other items to the Dakota Prairie Devils Lake Food Pantry today.

The store gave household items and food to the pantry.

The food pantry often does more for families than just giving them food.

"We get non household items that are donated, which is wonderful because lately too we've had a lot of fire victims in our area that have lost everything," Julie Hovde with Dakota Prairie Community Action said.

The donated items could be delivered to families in need as early as next week.
