The Grand Forks City Council says it's sending a strong message out to liquor license holders.
Tonight the Council talked about renewing the license for the company that owns Campus Liquors, the Down Under Pub and Sensations Night Club and Celebrity Ballroom.
The owner of the business did not fill out the liquor license accurately. He said he did not have any criminal history or did not have his license suspended ever. Both answers were false.
Some council members say this happens all too often, and they're not going to put up with it in the future.
Council member Mike McNamara says, “I would submit to you that if you can't fill out the paper, that in and of itself is the test relative to whether you should have a liquor license.”
Council members say they're going to start having stricter regulations for liquor license holders next year.
