NEAR FISHER, MN (WDAZ-TV) - The Minnesota State Patrol says a Crookston woman died as a result of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 2 west of Fisher early Friday morning.

The patrol says Daniel D. Johnson, 21, was stopped in a 1994 Ford pickup in the wrong lane on Highway 2 just after 2:15 a.m. Friday.

Darcey J. Jablonski, 39, of Crookston was driving a Pontiac G64D sedan eastbound on the highway and struck Johnson's vehicle head-on.

The patrol says alcohol may be a factor in the crash for Johnson, the driver of the pickup. Johnson had non life-threatening injuries.

It was very foggy at the time of the collision and very limited visibility was reported.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow said Friday morning the patrol has responded to 92 crashes across the state in the last 24 hours, 30 of them in the Detroit Lakes-based region that includes Moorhead. Of those crashes in the region, five caused injuries, he said.
