DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Carter Rowney scored two goals and assisted on another as North Dakota continued its domination of Minnesota Duluth at AMSOIL Arena with a 3-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win on Friday.

The Fighting Sioux have won both games played on the UMD's home ice while outscoring the Bulldogs 8-1 in the process.

Fighting Sioux goalie Aaron Dell turned away 26 shots from the nation's top offensive team. The Bulldogs (18-7-4, 12-6-3) went scoreless for seven full periods and an overtime in their last three home games before J.T. Brown scored with an extra attacker and 1:06 left to play.

"We came here for four points and you can't get that without the first two," Dell said.

UMD's Travis Oleksuk assisted on the Bulldogs' only goal for his 100th career point. That was the only highlight for UMD,

Rowney scored at 17:15 of the first period and 18:07 of the second to help North Dakota win its fourth straight game.

"That was a big goal," North Dakota Dave Hakstol said of Rowney's second goal. "That allowed us to win that period and go into the third period on a power play and up two."

Michael Parks netted the final goal for the 16th-ranked Fighting Sioux (16-10-2, 12-9-0), who are 12-3-1 in their last 16 games. It came on the power play after the Bulldogs lost Joe Basaraba to a game misconduct penalty for checking from behind.

Kenny Reiter made 24 saves for the Bulldogs.
