GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks Republican state lawmaker says she won't run for re-election this fall.
Stacey Dahl was first elected to the North Dakota House in 2004. She serves on the budget-writing House Appropriations Committee.
Dahl is 30 years old and works as an attorney in Grand Forks. She is one of the Legislature's youngest members. She was elected when she was still a student at the University of North Dakota.
Dahl's district includes the University of North Dakota. Its other two lawmakers are Democratic State Rep. Corey Mock and Democratic Sen. Mac Schneider.
Dahl says she loves serving in the Legislature, but she wants to focus on starting a family. Her husband Gabe is an assistant principal at Grand Forks Central High School.
