Many local businesses are spending Monday busy with customers who hope to make their loved one's day, Valentine's Day, a good one.

Valentine's Day can sneak up on people, making a few days stressful if you don't know what to get your sweetheart.

But, there are many gift options that may ease the minds of those who haven't gotten anything yet.

"The most fun during Valentine's Day I think is everyone is happy," florist Jan Heitmann said.

"I like the whole thing. Eating chocolate's fun," Widman's Candy Shop manager Dan Widman said.

Everywhere you go there seems to be love in the air this time of year and no matter what your valentine wants, there are endless supplies.

"Roses are still queen but there are so many other things to choose from and a lot of people add chocolates," Heitmann said.

"Chocolate suckers in rose shapes and chocolate heart shapes," Widman said.

Lezlie/standup: Whether it's jewelery, flowers or chocolates.... businesses around town are keeping very busy to deal with the demand the day before V-Day.

"It's a holiday that men buy flowers for and they may forget that it's Valentine's Day until tomorrow, they need to be reminded," All Seasons co-owner Georgia Heitmann said.

Over this two-day period, places such as Widman's Candy Shop and All Seasons Floral have all hands on deck making sure the lines of customers get what they're looking for.

"We get everybody from somebody who can't decide what to buy, maybe doesn't know what to buy to somebody who wants to send a whole page letter with lots of love and mushiness," Georgia Heitmann said.

So whether you've been dating for a couple weeks or married for 80 years, there are many gift options to make your sweetie blush this holiday season.

Several of the most popular items include chocolate assorted trays and although many buy roses, gerber daisies and lilies are popular as well.
