GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A Grand Forks man accused of shooting a TV with a handgun got a six-month jail sentence as part of a plea agreement.

56-year-old Daryl Lee Nikle pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless endangerment Monday in District Court.

He'll get credit for time served and will be able to spend the remainder of his sentence in work release or electronic home monitoring.

According to court papers, just after 4 a.m. on October 2, Nikle asked three people at his home on 7th Ave. N. to turn the TV down.

When it wasn't turned down, he fired his gun at the TV and the bullet went through the wall.

Nikle must also complete a chemical dependency evaluation and cannot have any bond or criminal violations until his April 16 sentencing.
