FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A judge says a North Dakota law that regulates drug-induced abortions should remain on hold until a lawsuit challenging it is resolved.

An abortion rights organization is suing in North Dakota court to block the law. The Center for Reproductive Rights argues the law unfairly restricts an abortion option for women.

East Central District Judge Wickham Corwin issued an injunction Thursday that will keep the law on hold until the lawsuit is resolved.

The law says a drug can't be used to cause an abortion unless it's labeled for that purpose.

A Fargo women's clinic uses a two-drug combination for abortions, but one of them isn't labeled as an abortion drug. The law's opponents say it would prohibit the Fargo clinic from doing medication abortions.
