Valley City Man, 18, Dies in Crash

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — The Highway Patrol has released the name of an 18-year-old Valley City man who died after a crash just south of the city.
The patrol says Dillon Kapaun was killed in the pickup truck crash that happened about midnight Thursday.
The patrol says the pickup had lost its front left wheel in a crash before the fatal crash. Authorities say the truck failed to negotiate a curve, went in the ditch, struck an approach and became airborne, crashing into a utility pole.
Kapaun was pronounced dead at a Fargo hospital.
