(WDAZ-TV) - A winter storm warning has been issued for the area from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Snow should start falling tonight and could be heavy at times. Snow should begin tapering off by Wednesday afternoon.
There will be a sharp gradient in accumulations from south to north. Parts of southeast North Dakota and west central Minnesota could see 8 to 14 inches while areas near the Canadian border might have only a few inches.
Visibility could be reduced to near zero at times, especially in open country.
Total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches around Grand Forks and southward, with lighter amounts both north and west of the city, including Devils Lake that may end up with closer to 1 to 2 inches of snow. 6 to 12 inches is possible south of the Grand Forks area.
