Suspected Serial Robber Appears in Court

Pederson gets court-appointed attorney.

A Grand Forks man charged in a string of robberies has been approved for a court appointed attorney.

Kyle Pederson has been in the Grand Forks County Jail since December 23 when he was arrested for the robbery at the Fairfield Inn.

Since then Pederson has been charged with the other seven robberies in our area in December and he faces some drug charges as well.

Authorities say Pederson is the masked man who robbed Discontent, Simonson's, Big Cigs, East Grand Forks Orton's, Taco Bell, Budget Music and Aasen Drug in Mayville.

All the robberies were done within about a two week period.

Pederson is being held without bond and will be back in court in February.
