Central Cass Beats Linton-HMB 81-68

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Matt Zimmerman had 21 points and three assists Thursday as Central Cass rebounded from its first loss of the year to beat Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock 81-68 at the North Dakota Class B boys' basketball tournament.

Zimmerman was joined in double figures by Josh Roesler with 18 points and seven rebounds and Ellery Bresnahan with 17 points and five assists. The Squirrels (26-1) shot 50 percent from the field.

Tanner Purintun turned in a strong all-around game for the Lions (17-9). Purintun had 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Tyler Humann had 12 points and Nathan Wieser 11.

Central Cass will play Grafton for fifth place and Linton-HMB will meet Divide County for seventh.
