(WDAZ-TV) - The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert to include the areas of southwest, central and northeast North Dakota due to blowing snow that is sticking to the road and causing icy conditions.

Cities included in the travel alert include Dickinson, Minot, Bismarck, Jamestown, Valley City, Devils Lake and Grand Forks.

A travel alert means you can still drive on the roads, but there may be areas of challenging winter driving conditions. If conditions deteriorate, a no travel advisory is issued.

For road information, call 511 from any phone or go to Dot.ND.gov.
