GF Police: Icy Roads Cause 22 Accidents in 3 Hours

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Icy roads coupled with high wind speeds created very bad driving conditions around much of North Dakota on Friday night.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Icy roads coupled with high wind speeds created very bad driving conditions around much of North Dakota on Friday night.

In just three hours, Grand Forks police responded to 22 weather-related accidents. Police are warning travelers to drive very carefully if you have to, otherwise don't drive at all.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department responded to a number of crashes Friday afternoon and evening, but around 8 p.m. a dispatcher there said it was started to quiet down.

The iciest spots in Grand Forks were on bridges and overpasses. Street crews are on the roads sanding main intersections.
