GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Jesse Hettich hit the game-winning shot, then blocked a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer as Beulah beat North Star 51-49 to claim its first state basketball title Saturday at the North Dakota Class B boys basketball tournament.

Hettich's short jumper with 10 seconds left snapped a 49-49 tie, and he blocked Jeff Hagler's runner in the lane from behind to snap the Bearcats' 53-game winning streak.
