ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to two years in prison for smuggling parts of AK-47 rifles from the U.S. to Paraguay — disguised in a box that was said to contain T-shirts.

Thirty-year-old Fabian Lojano-Lojano pleaded guilty last October in federal court to one count of smuggling goods from the United States.

According to a plea agreement, he admitted that on June 23, 2010, he dropped off a package at UPS that was labeled as containing T-shirts. In reality, it contained AK-47 parts.

Lojano-Lojano also admitted to sending similar packages to Paraguay on 46 other occasions between September 2009 and June 2010. In all, the packages contained enough parts to assemble at least 10 firearms.
