MOORHEAD – A Minnesota State University Moorhead student faces charges after being caught with more than a half pound of marijuana in his car.
According Clay County court documents, MSUM security alerted Moorhead police on March 2 about a possible drug deal happening outside Holmquist Hall.
Police located and pulled over the car suspected of being involved in the deal, which was being driven by 19-year-old Colby Smith of Cavalier, N.D.
In the back seat of Smith’s car, police allegedly found several containers of marijuana weighing 9.3 ounces, documents state
Smith is charged with one count of selling marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
