GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Figure skaters laced up their skates and hit the ice for their end of the season show in Grand Forks on Sunday.

The Park District and Border Blades Figure Skating Club hosted the 2012 Ice Extravaganza. Skaters from pre-school through high school showed off skills they learned in lessons this winter. Parents and coaches say it's nice to see each skater progress and learn tricks.

"It's fun to watch them having a good time skating. It's a life-long sport and it's good that they learn it at a young age and continue it," Grand Forks Park District member Darla Ford said.

The youngest skaters were just two and three years old. The oldest was 18.
