BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Many cities in the Dakotas enjoyed record warmth over the weekend, with temperatures soaring into the upper 50s, 60s and even 70s.

National Weather Service reports show that the North Dakota cities of Bismarck, Dickinson, Williston, Minot Jamestown, Fargo and Grand Forks either set or tied record-high temperatures Saturday or Sunday. The same held true for Watertown, Pierre and Sisseton in South Dakota.

The forecasts for the two states show a warm week is in store, with more record temperatures likely in North Dakota on Tuesday.
