Police: Student Assaults Teacher in NE Minnesota

BARNUM, Minn. (AP) — A 17-year-old student is accused of assaulting a Minnesota high school teacher who asked him to remove his headphones.

WDIO-TV (http://bit.ly/x9STH2) reports it happened Friday morning at Barnum High School.

Carlton County dispatchers got a 911 call from the school about a student fight and a request for an ambulance.

The teacher was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The student was arrested and taken to the Arrowhead Juvenile Center in Duluth. He faces a possible assault charge.
