GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Former Mayor Pat Owens will help present former President Bill Clinton with the key to the city when he visits Grand Forks this weekend.

Owens hosted Clinton when he came to the city 15 years ago following the devastating 1997 Red River flood. She now lives in Florida but is returning to the city to see him again. She tells the Grand Forks Herald that she hasn't had a chance since she left office to thank him for his help.

Owens says seeing Clinton again will put a cap on the flood recovery period.

Clinton plans to speak at the flood obelisk on the banks of the river and also at the state Democratic convention on Saturday.
