GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Democrats are happy with turn out at the state convention.
Organizers estimate about 7,000 people turned out to hear keynote speaker President Bill Clinton. Nearly 900 delegates took part.
"We had filled hotels for our convention early on and were told at one point people may need to go to Crookston to get rooms so I think we were pretty full this weekend. It was a good weekend," Convention planning chairwoman Becky Ronkowski said.
This is the second time the Democratic Convention was in Grand Forks. The first was in 2010.
