GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Gas prices continue to rise and we can expect the prices to keep climbing. The average price for a gallon on Monday in Grand Forks was around $3.80.
That's eight cents higher than last week and nearly 30 cents higher than last month.
Some experts speculate prices could stabilize below $4 a gallon nationally. But local economic researchers say they don't expect us to get a break at the pump for at least a few months.
"I would say through the summer months you're going to see a steady increase into probably the high four dollars, maybe five," UND Economic Research Director David Flynn said.
The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.89.
That's the highest ever for this time of year.
