EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (WDAZ-TV) - There will soon be a new place for DJ's to hit the airwaves.
Northland Community and Technical College has announced it will add a remote studio in East Grand Forks for its KSRQ radio station.
Right now the radio station, Pioneer 90.1, broadcasts just from the Thief River Falls campus.
This will give East Grand Forks Northland staff and students, and eventually the public, a place to host a radio program.
"If people are really passionate about a certain kind of music selection that they want to bring in, we would be happy to hear ideas for volunteer shows," KSRQ Station Manager Mark Johnson said.
The East Grand Forks remote station should be up and running in the next couple of weeks.
The announcement is part of the start of Pioneer 90's spring pledge drive.
