Construction Starts on New Forest River Elevator After Fire

FOREST RIVER, ND (WDAZ-TV) - Construction has started on the new Forest River Farmers Elevator.
Fire destroyed the elevator last September and shortly after a decision was made to rebuild. The office and scale is already complete.
Manager Greg Novak says the facility will operate on a limited basis through the summer with some grain storage off the main site.
"We have a really strong amount of people here that just want to see the place be built. A lot of old timers, a lot of new and upcoming farmers. A really strong client base," Novak said.
The new elevator is expected to be operational next January.
