UND Asst. Coach Eades Applies to be Mankato Head Coach

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota associate head hockey coach Cary Eades says he has applied for the head coach opening at Minnesota State-Mankato.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota associate head hockey coach Cary Eades says he has applied for the head coach opening at Minnesota State-Mankato.

Mankato began a national search for a new coach after Troy Jutting was fired last weekend. Eades tells Forum Communications that he is happy at UND but that head coaching opportunities don't come up often, so he is taking a look at the Mankato opening.

Eades played his college hockey at UND and coached at Warroad High School in Minnesota before becoming a member of the Fighting Sioux staff.
