2 Deaths in Devils Lake Called Suspicious

DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) - Two deaths in Devils Lake have been ruled suspicious and will be investigated. Paramedics were called to 117 Walnut St. on Tuesday morning for an unresponsive female.

DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) - Two deaths in Devils Lake have been ruled suspicious and will be investigated.

The Devils Lake Journal reports that paramedics were called to 117 Walnut St. on Tuesday morning for an unresponsive female. The woman, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics found another unresponsive 52-year-old female in the apartment, the Journal reports. She was taken to Mercy Hospital and pronounced dead. There were two other people at the apartment at the time. Police have not said how they may be involved in the deaths at all.

KZZY Radio reports that there was medication taken from the scene by investigators and the women did not live at the apartment.

The names of the two women have not yet been released.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the Devils Lake Police Department responded to the scene.

Autopsies will be performed to determine the cause of the deaths.
