Karlstad, MN, Man Falls Asleep, Crashes into Fence Near Grygla

NEAR GRYGLA, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A Karlstad, MN, man was injured after the State Patrol says he fell asleep as he was driving and ran into a fence around a baseball field Thursday morning.

NEAR GRYGLA, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A Karlstad, MN, man was injured after the State Patrol says he fell asleep as he was driving and ran into a fence around a baseball field Thursday morning.

Michael Lorenson, 51, had non life-threatening injuries, the patrol reported.

He was driving a Buick at 6:52 a.m. when he fell asleep and ran off of Highway 89 west of Grygla and struck the fence, causing some damage.

Lorenson was taken to Sanford Health in Thief River Falls. The patrol reports that he was wearing a seat belt.
