Cando Couple Facing Federal Weapons Charges
Diane and Wilmer Slaubaugh are each accused of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. They have pleaded not guilty.
A Cando, North Dakota couple has been indicted in federal court on weapons charges.
Diane and Wilmer Slaubaugh (SLAY'-baw) are each accused of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. They have pleaded not guilty.
Each faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Court documents show that 30-year-old Diane Slaubaugh was convicted in 2008 for wire fraud. She and 48-year-old Wilmer Slaubaugh were convicted of deceptive writings in 2005.
