Larimore Bar Fails Alcohol Compliance Check

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department reports that a bar in Larimore, ND, failed its most recent alcohol compliance check.

The Tumbleweed was checked on April 19. Alcohol was sold to an underage youth working with plain clothes and uniformed deputies. The youth wasn't asked for their age, but was asked for an ID card. Alcohol was still sold to the youth.

The sale of alcohol to a minor is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $2,000, a year in jail or both. Typical offenders are fined several hundred dollars.

Other businesses in the alcohol compliance check passed.
