GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - If you've been a victim of a violent crime, The Community Violence Intervention Center in downtown Grand Forks wants to remind you what you can do to get help.

Advocates say whether or not a victim comes forward depends on their comfort level, but if you're in immediate danger, it's recommended to call 911.

CVIC has programs available for victims of all types of crime, from counseling to justice.

The hotline to report a violent crime is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"We like to cater to our victims needs so meeting them where they're at and seeing what there needs are and offering up different services to see what they're interested in and making them aware of what services we have," Allison Lindberg said.

CVIC advocates say they'll do everything they can to make a victim comfortable.
