Revenue, Attendance Up at Alerus Center

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Alerus Center reported earnings of $275,000 for the first quarter of this year even though it had been budgeted to lose money.
The city-owned events center made $340,000 by the end of March. Management expected a loss of $11,000.
Event attendance at the Alerus was also up compared to recent years. By the end of March, it had recorded 87-thousand attendees at 199 events.
First-quarter attendance has hovered below 55-thousand since 2009.
