GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Extra officers will be patrolling for drunk drivers this weekend.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is setting up a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night at a random location in Grand Forks County.

They will also have an alcohol enforcement saturation with extra officers working overtime to patrol certain areas.

"This is just one of several events we'll have this year to try and remove drivers who have had too much to drink that are driving the streets," ND Highway Patrol Sgt. Dolf Oldenburg said.

The Northeast Grand Forks Regional DUI Task Force will also have heightened DUI enforcement from May 4 through May 12.
