Israeli Band Visits Devils Lake

DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) - A band all the way from Israel is in the Lake Region to share the culture through music.

The Yamma ensemble is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, but is spending this month in the Midwest bringing the unique sound to small towns.

The group is staying in Devils Lake for the week, traveling to schools, sharing music and telling students about Israeli culture.

Band members say Israel is a very diverse country, so North Dakota students will learn about a wide variety of cultures.

The band will have a concert for the public on Wednesday night 7 at Lake Region State College.

After the week in Devils Lake, Yamma will head to South Dakota for the last leg of their Midwest tour.
