GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A woman was injured in a south Grand Forks collision Wednesday morning that sent her vehicle rolling onto its side and into a stop sign.

It happened at around 7:45 a.m. in the intersection of S. Washington St. and 40th Ave. S.

Deborah Loyland, 45, of Thompson, was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer south on S. Washington St. when she was struck by a Kia Sorrento driven by Angela Beardemphl, 27, of Grand Forks, who was driving west on 40th Ave. S.

The Explorer ended up on the southwest berm on its passenger side with the windshield and driver's side windows shattered and the front, left tire off.

The Sorrento came to rest in the middle of the intersection with front-end damage.

Loyland was taken to Altru Hospital for unknown injuries. She was in satisfactory condition Wednesday evening. Beardemphl was cited for failure to yield. The Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru Ambulance assisted with the accident.
